R448A Refrigerant Gas

R448A is a next-generation refrigerant, a mixture of HFC and HFO with the following chemical composition: 26% R32 / 26% R125 / 21% R134a / 7% R1234yf / 20% R1234ze. It offers excellent cooling properties and high energy efficiency, and thanks to its zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and low GWP value, R448A refrigerant is one of the most promising refrigerants both for retrofitting existing systems operating on R507 and R404A and for new installations in industrial and commercial refrigeration. According to EU Regulation No. 517/2014 on fluorinated greenhouse gases, as of January 1, 2020, servicing with HFC refrigerants with a GWP value above 2500 is prohibited. Thanks to its approximately 65% lower GWP, R448A refrigerant can be used for servicing refrigeration systems until 2030.
